Joe lives with his family in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Originally from Cincinnati, his family fell in love with the Hills during yearly camping trips to Custer State Park. Finally, they packed up the truck and moved to the Hills for good, where Joe works as a Public Defender.

This summer, Joe is celebrating the wedding of his daughter, Mo. His son, a wrestler, is headed off to college to study, he says. When not working and painting, Joe enjoys fishing on Spring Creek and Sheridan Lake with his buddy Matt, although Matt only catches smaller fish.
